Tori Bartels returns as the leader of the Faulkner volleyball program. In that time she has compiled an overall record of 103-128 and led the Lady Eagles to consecutive appearances in the National Christian College Athletic Association national tournament in the 2005 and 2006.
Bartels brought to Faulkner a wealth of volleyball coaching experience, having led the program at Cactus High School in Glendale, Arizona, to a three-year record of 67-34. In addition, she spent three volleyball seasons coaching at the elite club level, working with girls ages 16-18. She amassed a dominating 119-59 record while coaching in the summer club program.
As impressive as her coaching credentials are, coach Bartels brings an equally impressive collegiate playing resume to her job. After playing one season at Troy University, Bartels transferred to Freed-Hardeman, where her career took off. In 1998 she was selected the program's "Top Newcomer" and in both 2000 and 2001 she was named the team's best defensive player. Following her junior and senior seasons, she was selected second team all-conference and was also a three-time member of the conference's all-academic team.
Coach Bartels earned a bachelor's degree in Arts and Humanities from Freed- Hardeman in 2002. She has been married to her husband, Ryan, for nine years and is a member of the Landmark Church of Christ.
Jenn Denham came to Faulkner after an extensive coaching and playing career in her home state of Missouri. Her experience working with setters in particular and helping promote strong academic standards has made her an ideal fit in the Faulkner program.
Denahm played two seasons at State Fair Community College in Sedalia where she was a setter and the team's assist leader.
Denham was also a five-year assistant at Sacred Heart High School, her alma mater, where she worked with two-time Missouri Coach of the Year David Fall. The coaching pair led the team to back-to-back state championships in 2007 and 2008. The team compiled an overall record of 139-28-12 over the five year period.
She also helped facilitate strong academic standards with the Sacred Heart team and the program boasted a 3.89 GPA in 2008.
Her coaching experience extends back to her high school career where she worked with pee-wee league players for over four years. She later moved onto higher caliber teams in various clubs throughout the country.
Denham has been a site director for the Heart of America Region for nine years and works with USA Volleyball at the Show-Me Qualifier.
She's also served as a coach for a variety of age levels and as assistant director for Mid-Mo Volleyball Club for 11 years. She also worked with Club Arrowhead in Arizona in 2008.
In 2011 she relocated to Montgomery where she began work with Capital City Juniors volleyball club and was recently named an assistant director for the organization.
Denham has an associates degree in Dental Hygiene from State Fair and is a registered dental hygienist. She is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in the field.
She has been married to her husband Randy for eight years.
