MOBILE, Ala. - Faulkner headed south to take on Spring Hill in a Southern States Athletic Conference matchup Tuesday evening looking to rebound from a disappointing 2-1 loss to No. 8 Mobile over the weekend. The Badgers claimed the lead early and answered every Faulkner score to secure the 3-2 win.
Spring Hill's Elaine Femmer rocked a header in for the first score of the game off a nice cross from Megan Fox.
Faulkner responded eight minute later when Jessica Monarch fired a quick free kick to tie the game.
Monarch got called for a handball however, just moments later to setup up a penalty kick for the home team. Abby Galen punched it in and the Badgers reclaimed the lead.
The Badgers returned the favor just three minutes later however, when Katie Pendergrast feed Femmer for the game's final point.
Caitlin Sebert returned to the net for Faulkner for the first time since her injury last week in the Shorter match. Sebert allowed three goals and tallied three saves.
Faulkner moves to 7-6-1 overall and 5-5 in the league. The Lady Eagles will travel to Kentucky on Saturday where they will take on Georgetown at 11 a.m.
