PULASKI, Tenn. - Faulkner (17-12, 12-8 SSAC) led Martin Methodist by five points at halftime and maintained control of the scoreboard deep into the second half, but clutch shooting down the stretch by the home team was enough to offset Di'mar Hill's 3-point buzzer-beater and gain the 66-65 win here in tonight's Southern States Athletic Conference battle and regular season finale.
Hill led all scorers with 28 points while adding seven rebounds, two steals and a pair of assists to his number.
Logan Jozwiak followed with 10 points and led the defense with eight rebounds while also contributing two assists.
Faulkner will next enter the league tournament as the No. 5 seed and will open play against sixth-seeded Loyola at 9:45 p.m. Thursday evening at the Cramton Bowl Multiplex downtown.
